Get better soon Papi!

Tonight I also wanted to share another card I made the other day for my father as he hasn't been very well lately and had to spend some time in hospital... Luckily he is on the mend though and I am sure that was partly because of my lovely card..... ;-)
For this I used certainly celery cardstock as well as night of navy and tempting turquoise, I think this combination works really well and looks quite fresh and happy.
The big flower is from the 'On Board Blossoms & Basics' and I covered it with certainly celery paper. The smaller flowers are from the 'simply said' stamp set and I used tempting turquoise and brilliant blue ink. The ribbon I used is in whisper white and I punched a few holes in each corner of the card, using my piercing tool and template from the 'Crafter's tool kit'.
Hope you like it, let me know what you think.

Have a good evening and will post again soon.

Welcome Baby card

Hello everyone,

I thought I will share with you a card I made for a good friend of mine who had a lovely baby daughter called Emily the other week.
I used pretty in pink, certainly celery, whisper white and chocolate chip cardstock as well as my trusted 'polka dot' stamp. To colour in the spots on the giraffe I used the chalks together with my blender pens. Ribbon is in chocolate chip and the 'Happy New Baby' logo is from the 'Fun and Fast notes'.
Hope you like it, I thought it looked very girly and very sweet.

Take care,
Vanessa xx

Happy Birthday Silas!

Hello everyone,

Today is my friend little boy's third birthday so I made him a cute little card.

I used 'brilliant blue' cardstock for the base and then added a piece of tempting turquoise, slightly smaller than the card. Printed on the spots with 'Versa Mark' ink and 'polka dot' stamp (I love that one, it is so versatile and you can use it for so many different projects!)

I then stamped the elephant from the 'wild about you' stamp set with tempting turquoise ink on white paper and cut it out (the paper snips are brilliant for that job!)

For the balloons, I just drew a couple of balloons by hand on 'old olive' and 'rose red' cardstock and cut them out. On the pink one, I stamped a '3' with rose red ink.
To finish it off, I stamped Happy Birthday from the 'Occasional Greetings' stamp set on a piece of old olive card and layered it over a piece of whisper white card.

I have to say I am quite pleased with how the card turned out and hope little Silas will like it too.

Thanks for looking and have a nice evening.
Cheers,
Vanessa xx

Father's Day Card

Today I made a card for my Papi as it is Father's Day in Germany this coming Thursday. For this card I used 'handsome hunter' as base and added a piece of designer series paper from the hostess set in green stripe...
I then added a piece of old olive, punched two holes on the right hand side and added two pewter jumbo eyelets, and some linen thread.
I stamped 'happy father's day' with the stamp from 'Occasional Greetings' in 'always artichoke' on 'more mustard' cardstock.
On the inside of the card I attached a piece of 'whisper white' with some swirly bits from the 'Garden Whimsy' stamp set stamped on in 'elegant eggplant'.
I hope you like the card and maybe get inspired for Father's Day in June (I know it is still far away but you can never start early enough...) ;-)
Have a good evening. More soon....
Love,
Vanessa xx

'A little something for you'

I finally managed to work out how to add pictures and work the blog... sorry it took so long! I promise I will post some more cards and projects soon.
For this lovely thank you card I used 'lovely lilac' cardstock as the base and then added a strip of old olive, which I scalloped at one edge. For the flowers I used the stamps from 'Polka Dot Punches' and stamped it on whisper white paper with 'not quite navy' and 'always artichoke' ink.
I punched it out with the 1 1/4 inch hole punch and put a circle of 'bashful blue' (1 3/8inch) underneath. The halfback pearls are from the 'pretties kit'. Ribbon is in old olive. I hope you enjoy the card and I will promise to post another entry soon. Keep looking.
Cheers,
Vanessa
